🔒 Locking/Unlocking Frequencies
How Automatic Frequency Matching Works
By default, AirSync IEM receivers automatically sync to the nearest transmitter when powered on. This allows simple plug-and-play operation for single-system use.
When to Use Frequency Locking
- Using multiple AirSync IEM systems simultaneously
- Performing near other AirSync users
- Ensuring receivers only connect to specific transmitters
Once locked, receivers will only connect to their paired transmitter.
System Capabilities: Up to 13 transmitters on different channels. Multiple receivers can lock to one transmitter.
Lock Process
- Setup: Turn off all other AirSync devices before starting.
- Step 1: Hold transmitter power until screen blanks and flashes, then press once. Display shows “LOCK”.
- Step 2: Within 10 seconds, hold receiver power until screen shows “LOCK”. Repeat for each receiver.
- Step 3: While all screens flash “LOCK”, press transmitter power once to confirm.
- Success: All units return to normal and display same channel.
Unlock Process
- Step 1: Hold transmitter power until display flashes, then press twice. Display shows “UNLOCK”.
- Step 2: Within 10 seconds, hold receiver power until “UNLOCK” appears. Repeat for each receiver.
- Step 3: While flashing, press transmitter once to confirm unlock.
- Success: Receivers now auto-sync to any available transmitter.
📌 Quick Reference
Lock when using multiple systems to keep each receiver tied to its transmitter. Unlock to allow auto-sync to any transmitter.
| Action | Transmitter Button Press | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Lock | Hold → Press ONCE → Sync receivers → Press once to confirm | Dedicated pairing |
| Unlock | Hold → Press TWICE → Sync receivers → Press once to confirm | Auto-sync enabled |
Common Locking Mistakes
- ❌ Don’t power receivers before transmitter shows “LOCK/UNLOCK”
✅ Wait for flashing before syncing receivers - ❌ Don’t delay between receivers (10s timeout)
✅ Work quickly through all receivers - ❌ Don’t forget the final transmitter press
✅ Always confirm to complete process
🔋 Charging
- Battery: 3.7V 950mAh Li-ion
- Battery Life: 5–6 hours (varies by use)
- Charge Time: 2–3 hours via USB-C (5V/1A)
- Low Battery Warning: Appears with ~1 hour remaining
- Both units can charge simultaneously and operate while charging.
🛡️ Built-in Limiter
The built-in limiter helps protect your hearing by reducing sudden volume spikes and overly saturated signal peaks before they reach your earphones.
- Engage limiter: Press the receiver power button three times
- Disengage limiter: Press the receiver power button three times again
Use the limiter when you want extra protection from unexpected loud transients or hot monitor mixes.

I’ve gotten to use this system for a handful of rehearsals and a few gigs now and I’m very impressed with the quality. There is no noticeable latency or noise. The construction seems robust and it includes a protective carrying case. I let the system run out of battery from a full charge and I calculated the receiver lasted over 5 hours (powered off before transmitter). The only concern going forward is the life of the rechargeable battery. I hope we see replaceable rechargeable batteries in future offerings. For the money this is a really great system and will be replacing my costlier Galaxy Audio ASD 700.
So esay to use and sound good. Works really well for budget minded musicians.
